Safety is our utmost priority as the basketball season is in full swing. The Westwood Heights and Beecher Community Schools have agreed to have limited attendance for both games on Tuesday, January 10th, at Hamady High School and February 18th at Beecher High School. Each participating athlete will be given two tickets; this includes players and cheerleaders. Each ticket can only be given to an adult 21 years or older. There will be NO tickets sold to the public for either game.
" Hamady and Beecher are known rivals in the community, and we want to ensure that the focus stays on our players." Says Hamady Middle/High School Principal Dionna Ross. "We know that a number of people would love to attend this event which is why we are going to live stream it. With this, we have to air on the side of caution."
The public is invited to watch the J.V. Boys, Varsity Girls, and the Varsity Boys basketball game on Hamady's YouTube page For Tuesday’s January 10th game (Hamady Hawks TV Media)

and the February 18th game on NFHS network on Saturday,
"Our number one goal at a sporting event is the safety of all spectators/visitors and above all the student-athletes," said Beecher Community Schools. Administrators from Beecher and Hamady have decided to limit the number of spectators at the game. We look forward to building a better bond between the two communities as we continue to strive for excellence both on and off the field."
